A Local Who Fell in Love with This Coast
Albandeira Ecotours was born 20 years ago from a simple but powerful idea: share the secret beauty of the Algarve coast with the world — honestly and directly, with no middlemen and no compromise on quality.
Our founder grew up on this stretch of coastline. A surfer since 1994 and a lifeguard from 2005, he developed an intimate knowledge of every cave, rock formation, and hidden beach between Albandeira and Benagil. After several years guiding in five-star hotels and working across the tourism industry, he decided to bring all that expertise directly to the people who love adventure.
He holds an academic degree in tourism and environmental management from university — a background that shapes every aspect of how we run our tours. We treat the coast as a living ecosystem to be protected, not exploited. Every tour is designed to leave no trace and deepen visitors' appreciation of this extraordinary environment.
The result was the first kayak company in the Albandeira area — a business built on local knowledge, environmental responsibility, and a genuine passion for connecting people with the natural world.
Today, our team is multilingual and multidisciplinary, with deep knowledge of the ocean and the region. We guide in English, Portuguese, Spanish, French, and other languages, ensuring that visitors from around the world can experience the Algarve coast on the deepest possible level.
